RAISED PLANTER BEDS

The Garden at 800 17th Street

Opened in 2023 in partnership with Jones Lang LaSalle and Nuveen, this downtown rooftop garden will be one of the largest and most productive urban agriculture spaces in Washington DC. Six rows of raised beds, each at around 50 feet long, are planted in greens, fruiting crops, culinary herbs, and flowers. This planting mix will supply the building with a locally produced food amenity for tenants while also providing forage and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial species for local biodiversity.
