The Garden at World Bank IFC
Opened in 2021, the garden at IFC supplies fresh produce to local non-profit partner Dreaming Out Loud, as well as providing a beautiful space for building tenants, a hub for conversation about local food systems and urban sustainability, and ample pollinator and beneficial habitat. Once a space of overgrown grasses and weeds, the garden produced nearly 700 lbs of food for donation in 2022. The eggplant, in particular, thrived in this rooftop ecosystem, with over 300 lbs of the dark purple fruits picked.
