700 Thirteenth Spring ‘24 Update

July will mark the first birthday of the garden at 700 Thirteenth, but that didn’t stop it from growing in size over this spring.  Twelve new raised beds joined the eight from last year, ensuring our Harvest Table visitors will be satisfied with the produce grown several feet above their desks.  Kale, collard greens, chard, and herbs have been putting down roots, and the parsley from last season is showing some floral love to the local pollinators.  Are you having trouble identifying the old beds from the new? Here’s a hint, just look at which ones have the cover crop we sowed last fall!
