LARGE SCALE GREEN ROOF

The Farm at 1015 Half Street

The farm at 1015 Half Street SE is a true urban oasis. This sprawling 20,000 sqft+ farm encircles the entire roof of the building, now bursting with food crops, cover crops, and flowers. The keynote of the farm is the stunning row of Lavender Provence right as you enter the rooftop patio with its fragrant purple blooms in early summer, and again in early fall. Culinary herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and chives also greet your nose and eyes in this space, and beautiful orange blooms of marigolds provide a pop of color all summer and fall. The veggie garden, on the northeast side of the roof provides a harvest for building tenants to enjoy as well.
